CANARIAN GOFIO is a natural foodstuff, very easy to digest and very rich in natural nutritive elements. Gofio is made from toasted cereals that are ground in millsotnes. It was the basic nourishment of the Guanches, who were te prirnitive inhabitants of the Canary Islands.
After all these years, Gofio is still consumed by the Canarian families, thanks to the excellent nutritive values. There are many different cereals tbat can be used to make Gofio, but usually it is made from wheat and maize and sometimes mixed with barley. It does not have conservatives or colour additives but it has a very high vitamin value, (especially in vitamin B 1, B2, B3 and C ). It also contains proteins and minerals, mainly iron, calcium, magnesium and zinc. It is an excelent and healthy nourishment for children, especially in the growing years, but also for young people and adults who need extra energy in the morning.

GOFIO WITH MILK:

Added to cold or warm milk, Gofio will look like a thick mixture that becomes a delicious and heaIthy breakfast. The breakfast with Gofio is excellent for children, young people, sportsmen or for everyone who makes physical excercise every day.

GOFIO WITH FRUIT:

It is very simple to prepare and very nutritive. It is recommended for young people, but also for adults. You crush some ripe bananas and you mix them with Gofio. Afterwards, you add juice of and orange and some drops of lermon juice. You can also add some honey, if you like it sweet.
